NAN-0-SEAL Electrode Glands offer a standard solution for a wide range of applications requiring insulated electrical feedthroughs. The complete line of NANMAC electrode glands offers a wide selection of devices which provide insulated transmission of electrical currents up to 200 amperes, under a variety of temperature and pressure conditions. We recommend that you review these Important Considerations when deciding on the device that best suits your needs. A new method of forming internal seals using the taper pin principle produces an electrode gland which is economically priced and offers many features not found in other electrode glands. Three basic types:OR-SERIES utilizing straight threads and an O-Ring seal mounting configuration, A-SERIES which uses NPT threads as the seal mechanism, and the HP-SERIES which uses a metal-to-metal conical seal approach. All basic designs are available as standard catalog items, completely assembled, tested, and ready for installation. The electrode is electrically isolated from the gland body with a tapered insulator which is characterized by high temperature and dielectric properties. The taper-pin principle is used to form seals capable of operating to extremely high pressures or low vacuums (5 x lO-6 mm Hg.). In addition, special-purpose electrical cement is potted into the remaining cavity between the electrode and the gland. The gland body may be supplied with standard pipe threads, straight threads with 0-ring seals, or straight threads with conical metal to-metal external seals as desired. For waterproof applications, the electrode glands can be supplied with a waterproof connector head Special-purpose electrical feedthroughs are also available contact the factory with your particular requirement. Notes: All standard Electrode Glands have stainless steel bodies. Other materials such as brass, monel, etc. upon special request. All pressure and amperage ratings are based on 68° F conditions. Other styles of connector head heads such as waterproof and/or hazardous environment types are available on special request. Special units available to minimize corona arcing - write factory. |
