SIZES: 3 inch dial, 5 inch dial, Adjustable Tilt-Dial

CONSTRUCTION: Head assemblies are 3-inch and 5 Inch diameter. Rugged, 300 series stainless steel case, bezel, fittings and stem. White aluminum scale plate, with permanent black figures and graduations, dished for "in-line" readings to eliminate parallax errors, and a balanced black pointer. Head assembly is sealed against dust, fumes and moisture. Glass window standard.

ACCURACY: Accuracy +/-1% of full scale. Temporary over/under range is 50% of scale

SCALE LENGTH: Developed Length of 3" scale is approximately 6", the 5" scale is approximately 10".
.
EXTERNAL ADJUSTMENT: Conveniently located and easy to use; enables field re-calibration of thermometers which have shifted out of accuracy. Also permits maximum precision at any selected point within the scale range.

STEMS AND CONNECTIONS: Stainless steel, with all joints welded; corrosion resistant to most acids and gases. 1/4" stem diameter is standard, lengths of 4, 6 and 9 inches with 1/2" NPT fixed thread connection. Various size adjustable mounting fittings and thermowells are available.

BI-METAL ELEMENT: A single low-mass helix, which fits closely within the thermometer stem. Carefully sized and aged, it is covered with silicone fluid to protect it from moisture, improve heat transfer and to dampen pointer oscillation.

IMMERSION: For accurate temperature readings, the stem should be immersed at least 2 inches in liquids, and 4 inches in gases.
