A dramatic innovation in thermocouple design, the patented Eroding thermocouple provides temperature data never before available. This innovative design puts the thermocouple junction exactly at the end surface of the probe. Additionally, it has response times in the Microsecond range, and can be designed to measure either of the two distinct temperatures at the surface of a wall or chamber; one is the wall surface temperature (thermally grounded units), the other is the interface or gas temperature at the surface of the wall (thermally Un-Grounded).
