GM Sensor has an overall length of about 2-1/2 inches, it utilizes an exposed flush mounted ribbon Thermocouple
sensing element which measures the true mix temperature without
protruding into the mix item. Response time is in the low milliseconds.
This design eliminates conduction errors caused by gradients
in the wall. Available in ANSI Calibration Types J, K, E and
T. All units come with 3 feet of leads.
Series GD
Sensor also has a length of about 2-1/2 inches and is made with a stainless steel diaphragm on the sensing
tip. The diaphragm is only 0.015" thick, thus conduction
errors are minimized. This model is available in ANSI Calibration
Types J, K, E, and T. It is also available with a 3 wire Pt-100
ohm RTD sensor. This RTD has an Alpha = 0.00385 (DIN - 43760).
Mounting
Receptacles (MR) for the NANMAC General Purpose Mixer
Thermocouples are available for use in mixers with wall thickness
up to 3 inches. These receptacles are fully machined and are
ready to be welded into your mixer wall. All Mounting Receptacles come with the appropriate spacer and
a gland nut.
After welding the receptacle in place, the
end surface protruding into the mixer can be machined or ground
off and contoured to match the interior surface of your mixer
wall. Copper spacers are then used to align the sensor flush
with the inside surface.
Receptacles are available in lengths from 1-1/2 to 3 inches
in 1/4 increments, see price chart for details.
