Our Spring-Loaded Bayonet Ribbon Thermocouple is designed to improve accuracy on in-wall temperature measurements. A conventional spring-loaded bayonet type thermocouple has large inherent errors, especially in shallow-depth applications. These errors are due to the conduction of heat, along the thermocouple sheath.

This ribbon bayonet thermocouple eliminates these errors by using an exposed ribbon thermal junction at the sensing tip. The sensing tip is always in intimate contact with the bottom of the blind hole (because of this specially designed tip).
