Ribbon Element provides Extreme Accuracy

NANMAC's new Spring-Loaded Bayonet Ribbon Thermocouple is designed to improve accuracy on in-wall temperature measurements. The conventional spring-loaded bayonet type Thermocouple has large inherent errors, especially in shallow-depth applications. These errors are caused by the actual thermocouple sheath protecting the grounded junction, because there is a large difference in temperature between the heated wall and the outside air temperature around the heated wall.

The new NANMAC ribbon bayonet Thermocouple eliminates these errors by using an exposed ribbon thermal junction at the sensing tip which is always in intimate contact with the bottom of the blind hole. Because of its specially designed sensing tip, this Thermocouple eliminates errors caused by gradients, and conduction along the thermowell.
